Update: 12:27 p.m.: A crash has occurred on the Teton Pass and all lanes are currently blocked between Jackson and the Idaho state line at milepost 10.
WILSON, Wyo. —Just after chain law level 1 had been issued by the Wyoming Department of Transportation, WYDOT alerted travelers that all lanes are currently blocked between Jackson and Idaho state line at due to a crash milepost 10.
Travelers should be prepared to stop and expect delays. Drivers should also expect reduced visibility.
According to WYDOT, the road is slick with snowfall and black ice. The impact level is currently rated high, meaning, “dangerous impacts expected, use extreme caution, delay travel or consider an alternate route. If travel is necessary, slow down and allow extra time.”
No trailers are permitted on the pass at this time.
