JACKSON, Wyo. — During a regular meeting of the Teton County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) on Tuesday, July 15, the BCC voted to raise engineering fees by approximately 15% for permits that are issued by the Public Works Department.
The new fees will go into effect on Monday, July 21, for Fiscal Year (FY) 2026.
Staff notes state that the adopted engineering fees will be associated with small wastewater facility permits, grading and erosion control permits, work in live waterbody permits, bridge permits, right of way permits, driveway access permits and floodplain permits.
The increase of approximately 15% will be used to further offset costs associated with permit review, including staff time and permit application review consultants, as well as the Small Wastewater Facility (septic) permitting software.
According to Teton County, engineering permit fees were last adjusted in 2020. Public notice on the proposed fee change was published on May 14, in connection with a 45-day public comment period. Public Works received one public comment in support of the fee adjustment.
