JACKSON, Wyo. — Recent text message requests to participate in an online survey are not from the Teton County government.

The County released a statement on the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 11, saying that some members of the public have received a text message that references Teton County and asks recipients to complete an online survey.

“This survey is not from Teton County, Wyoming Government,” says the release. “Teton County Government is not currently asking members of the public to participate in an online survey through text message.”

According to the press release, the text at hand states: “We need your thoughts in Teton County. Can you Take this quick survey? Thanks!” The link sends individuals to votercx.qualtrics.com.

An unrelated mobile phone emergency alert test is scheduled for Friday morning in Teton County. Anyone who receives the alert is asked to fill out a survey after. More information about that survey can be accessed here, and the survey will not be sent via text message.
