JACKSON, Wyo. — “In like a lion, out like a lamb” is the old saying about March, according to the Teton County Library (TCL), and community members are invited to grab the new month by the mane in the first week.

All library programs are free and open to the community.

Foreign Policy Discussion: International Climate Cooperation

On Monday, March 3, the discussion will center on climate change, which the TCL calls one of the “central global challenges of the modern era.” Participants can prepare with a reading in advance or use the 25-minute video at the start of the session to get up to speed. The discussion takes place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Ordway Auditorium or via Zoom.

Cabin Fever Story Slam: Fast

On Tuesday, March 4, the final live storytelling competition of the winter season seeks to bring out tales of speed, intended or unintended. Would-be storytellers will throw their names in a bucket for a chance to share their personal, five-minute stories, and perhaps win a prize. Audience members participate by filling out themed mad libs that are read between stories by emcee Jeff Moran. For ages 21 and up, and details can be found at tclib.org/storyslam.

The event takes place at 7 p.m. at the Virginian Lodge.

High Velocity Trivia

On Wednesday, March 5, community members can come alone or bring some teammates to a speedy evening for true trivia enthuasiasts. Once teams are established, it’s off to the races with a question every 30ish seconds about math, science, pop culture, history and more. The event will be hosted by Adam Meyer; details can be found at tclib.org/events.

The event takes place 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Ordway Auditorium.
