JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton County Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling (ISWR) has announced that staffer Rebecca Kiefer has been promoted to ISWR Superintendent.
Kiefer was promoted at the beginning of this month, having most recently held the position of ISWR’s public engagement specialist. In her new role, she will oversee daily operations of ISWR including those at the Trash Transfer Station. She’s been with the agency since 2018, beginning as the administrative assistant and moving into the public engagement specialist role in 2021.
“Becky brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with ISWR and the solid waste and recycling world,” Teton County Public Works Director Heather Overholser said via press release. “Her passion for this work and dedication to Teton County is beyond compare.”
Kiefer, whose background is in sustainable development, arrived in Jackson 10 years ago from North Carolina.
“I am deeply passionate about the mission of ISWR and the critical role it plays in preserving our beautiful environment,” Superintendent Kiefer said. “I look forward to continuing our collaborative efforts with our ever-supportive community members, stakeholders and partners. Together, we can work toward a more sustainable and environmentally conscious future for Jackson Hole.”
