JACKSON, Wyo. — Road crews in Yellowstone are planning a temporary closure of the section between the Upper and Lower Terraces in Mammoth Hot Springs on Wednesday, October 21 between 8 a.m. and 12 noon.
Crews need to replace a culvert from a major water line break that occurred on August 14. See map for details.
During the temporary closure visitors at Mammoth Hot Springs will have access to the Lower Terraces but will not be able to travel south to Norris. Visitors traveling north from Norris will be able to access the Upper Terraces but will not be able to travel further north into Mammoth Hot Springs.
It is possible work may be completed early. If so, this segment of road will reopen before noon.
