JACKSON, Wyo. — On Monday, Nov. 18, the Teton County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) cautioned residents to be aware of a phishing email posing as Lieutenant Sanders.

The fraudulent email, which appears to originate from Lt. Sanders, is being circulated throughout the community, according to TCSO.

“Do not open any emails from Lt. Sanders with the Teton County Sheriff’s Office,” TCSO said via Facebook.

According to TCSO, the email contains a link to share a file via OneDrive. This file should not be opened and communication should be terminated, TCSO said.

For those who are subjected to a fraud event, file a report with the FBI at IC3.gov.
