WILSON, Wyo. — On Saturday afternoon Teton County Search and Rescue volunteers responded to a mountain biker who crashed while descending the Parallel trail on Teton Pass.

The accident left the victim with a severely injured ankle, rendering him unable to walk or ride.

TCSAR was dispatched at 2:44 p.m. and responded with the RZR and a forward ops truck, with volunteers accessing the trail via the Old Pass Road. On scene, TCSAR volunteers assessed the patient and immobilized his injury.

They then loaded the patient into the wheeled litter and transported him about a half-mile down the trail to a waiting ambulance, completing the mission in two hours.
