TETON VALLEY, WYOMING & IDAHO – Thirty-two years of bringing acoustic music lovers together, Targhee Bluegrass Festival (Aug. 9-11) remains one of the preeminent, single-stage festivals in the country. Preceded by the Targhee Music Camp (Aug. 5-8), you’ll find as many pickers in the adjacent campground as you’ll see on stage at 7400 feet. So, take a deep breath and prepare for three days of classic and contemporary string band music coupled with high altitude adventure and that laid-back, family-friendly Teton Valley vibe.

Below you’ll find a Buckrail-curated Soundcloud festival playlist featuring 2019 artists as well as a full festival schedule.

In remembrance of Jeff Austin’s life, festival organizers decided to honor his memory with a set of songs and stories with those who knew him best in the slot he was booked to play this year. On GrandTarghee.com, it stated that Austin was “a treasured friend and Targhee Bluegrass festival and Camp alumnus. Jeff played Targhee many times and always left everything he had on stage for the Targhee crew every time. He was sweet, smart, funny, vulnerable and supremely talented. Everyone we asked to perform has eagerly agreed to help out and Grand Targhee Resort will make a donation to his family in his honor. Join members of Railroad Earth, The Infamous Stringdusters, Larry Keel, Sam Bush, and more as we send off our old friend in style.”

For information about festival amenities including lodging, camping, shuttles/parking, food & beverage, vendors, and the kids fun zone, visit GrandTarghee.com. Targhee will also be providing free shuttles on to Music on Main on Thursday in Victor City Park featuring The Accidentals with Aaron Davis & The Mystery Machine.
