JACKSON, Wyo. \u2014 David Rothman announced his resignation as CEO and president of Center for the Arts. Rothman made the decision to relocate full time to Crested Butte, Colorado where his family is located. The Center board named Marty Camino, previously in the role of event services director, as acting director. \u201cMy family must come first. I need to be , so it is with a heavy heart that I will be resigning from my position,\u201d Rothman said in a prepared statement. \u201cThe Center is a wonderful institution, the staff is committed and skilled, and I wish them all good luck in a challenging time for arts institutions everywhere.\u201d Rothman was appointed president and chief executive officer of the organization on January 7, 2019. According to the board, Rothman impacted the vibrancy of The Center's programs and campus, improved the quality of resident partnerships, and contributed to the overall success and creative growth of the institution. \u201cOn behalf of the board, I would like to thank David Rothman for his dedicated service and contributions to The Center, and we are thinking of him and his family during this difficult time,\u201d said board chair Valerie Brown. \u201cWe have every confidence in Marty Camino\u2019s ability, with support from our entire dedicated staff, to take the helm and navigate through these uncharted waters ahead of us all.\u201d The Center will evaluate a leadership search at a later date as current events surrounding COVID-19 unfold.
