WILSON, Wyo. — Summer has arrived and Rendezvous “R” Park will mark the beginning of the season with its ninth annual Solstice Celebration this coming Friday, June 24.
The annual party hosted by the Jackson Hole Land Trust will kick off a summer of fun at Rendezvous Park (R-Park). Attendees can enjoy free Streetfood tacos (while supplies last), $3 Highpoint ciders, live music from Pat Chadwick, free kayak and SUP rentals from Rendezvous River Sports, along with other family-friendly activities from Voices JH, Teton Raptor Center and JH Public Art. The event will take place from 4-7 p.m.
“The R Park Solstice Celebration is a community favorite for a reason,” says Liz Long, the JHLT’s vice president. “We love to see the whole community turn out and ride the energy of the solstice into the new season; there’s just this fun buzz around being out at R Park on a beautiful early summer afternoon surrounded by friends.”
Community members are invited to grab a cider and a taco and listen to music or head out toward Mama Mimi, R Park’s resident troll, for a kid’s activity with JH Public Art. Voices JH will be out with a face painting booth set up, and attendees can get up close to birds of prey at the Teton Raptor Center table. Those wanting to get out on the water can borrow a kayak or a stand-up paddle board from Rendezvous River Sports.
