JACKSON, Wyo. — Heads up downtown drivers: Street closures are planned for the area surrounding the construction site of the future Justice Center this week and next.

A Tuesday press release from Teton County states that the roads will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic. The alley on the north side of the construction site will be closed today through Monday, Aug. 31. Then, tomorrow, Aug. 26, the block of East Simpson Ave. will be closed between South King Street and South Willow Street.

Next week, South King Street will be closed on Tuesday, Sept. 1 between East Simpson Ave. and Pearl Street.

“These closures are necessary to ensure public safety and to allow construction crews adequate space to complete the work efficiently,” Teton County wrote. “Detours will be clearly marked, and drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians are encouraged to plan alternate routes.”
