SUBLETTE COUNTY, WYO – Lina Streeper put the hammer down yesterday for the 45-mile Pinedale stage. The defending race champion pushed her team to a 3:11:42 finish, averaging 14.1 mph.
Bruce Magnusson, who made the race’s biggest jump just days ago, was hot on the heels of Streeper’s dogs. He turned in a 3:12:19 time to stay within striking distance of Streeper. Overall, he’s less than five minutes behind the race leader.
Dave Torgerson finished 3rdbest for the leg. Alix Crittenden is still in the hunt at 4th, about 18 minutes off the pace.
