JACKSON, Wyo. – State Fair organizers say the five-day event is on for August this summer.
With rodeos and county fairs canceling left and right, the Wyoming State Fair will take place as planned, pending exception approval from health officials. The fair is scheduled to take place August 11-15 in Douglas with an extensive health and safety plan in place.

“We have long been a gathering point for generations of families, while providing a quality educational experience and entertainment for all who have attended,” fair organizers stated. “This year will be no different. Although we have all faced unprecedented challenges with the COVID-19 pandemic, we are excited to move forward with this year’s Wyoming State Fair, celebrating our 108th year.”
The fair will kick off this summer with all-new branding, unanimously approved by the board at its June meeting last week. The brand refresh includes a new logo and color palette, a new website, and updated marketing materials.
The fair will include carnival rides, rodeos, Ag Hall exhibits, and concert with Reckless Kelly.
Fair manager Courtny Conkle outlined numerous measures that will be taken to ensure fairgoers are kept as safe and distanced as possible including added entrances and expanded online ticketing/payment.
The state fair will be the largest scale event in Wyoming since the pandemic began.
