JACKSON, Wyo. — The START Bus airport shuttle will be free for riders on four days this winter, according to a Tuesday announcement by the Town of Jackson (TOJ).

The airport shuttle pilot program is entering its third year and will run until April 6, 2026. START is offering four free-fare days, which align with popular travel holidays. On the dates listed below, riders can forego the typical $10 or $5 fare when using the bus between downtown Jackson and the Jackson Hole Airport:

  • Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025
  • Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026
  • Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026
  • Saturday, March 21, 2026

The airport shuttle normally costs $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12, seniors and those with disabilities. Riders can pay cash with exact change or purchase digital fares on the Transit app. Digital fares can be used for any scheduled airport shuttle, though all will expire on April 6, 2026 at the end of the pilot program.

“START Bus encourages everyone to consider reducing traffic throughout the year — ride the bus, walk, ride a bike or utilize a rideshare program,” TOJ wrote in the news release.

The airport shuttle picks up at four locations in downtown Jackson: Miller Park near the basketball court, the Antler Inn, the bus shelter at the corner of Deloney Ave. and Willow St., and the Home Ranch Welcome Center.
