JACKSON, Wyo. — Beginning tomorrow March 25, some Teton County road weight restrictions will be reduced to a 40,000 lb gross vehicle weight (GVW).

According to Teton County and Wyoming statutes, The Road and Levee supervisor may reduce the maximum weights on roads and bridges if the operation of vehicles at a certain weight would create undue damage to the county roads or county bridges.

The affected roads include Fall Creek Road, Fish Creek Road, downtown Wilson, South Park Loop Road, Boyles Hill Road, Spring Gulch Road, Buffalo Valley Road, Alta Ski Hill Road and Hoback Junction South Road.

The weight restriction is effective until further notice. The weight limit reduction has occurred in years past, to protect county roads and bridges during the spring thaw.

Emergency vehicles and critical services, such as propane delivery and refuse collection are exempt from this order.
