JACKSON, Wyo. — With the Bronc’s home opener kicking off at 5 p.m. tonight, Teton County School District (TCSD) is excited to welcome spectators to the new grandstands. But some modifications are still in place as construction wraps up.
“We are very excited to welcome spectators to our new grandstands on the west side of William T. McIntosh Stadium for tomorrow’s first home football game of the 2022 season,” said TCSD.
However, spectators will see that the stands on the east side of the stadium cannot be used as they will be torn down soon.
“The area around the grandstand is still a construction zone so please watch your step in areas and please keep an eye on young children so they do not get hurt climbing on things under the grandstand and bear with us as we fully complete this project over the coming weeks,” said TCSD.
Spectators should expect to see a few people on the old grandstands going into the press box because the new press box does not have power yet or wiring to run the sound system. The bleachers on the east side however are not to be used by spectators.
TCSD has marked an area on the new grandstands for visitors and asks to leave that area open for the Douglas community, and future visiting communities.
The Black Hole will be located at the north end of the new bleachers and students will see the black hole sign indicating where the student section is located.
For students, the best place to park will be at Jackson Hole Middle School and then walk to the north side of the new grandstand to the entrance on that side.
