JACKSON, Wyo. — Some roads in town will be closed for sealing with a bio-based sealant this week.

Work has already begun, and residents can expect to see “No Parking” signs along roads that have been sealed. Signs will not be around long as the sealant dries relatively quickly, according to Town staff.

The bio-based sealant is meant to provide long-term structural support for the roads.

“The bio-based sealant the Town is using soaks deeply into layers to replenish lost oils and bond with aging materials, which keeps roads functioning for longer and stretches and saves taxpayer dollars,” a Monday night press release states.

Roads affected will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • East Pearl Avenue by Rancher Street
  • South Rancher Street
  • South Nelson Drive
  • Karns Avenue sections
  • East Pearl Avenue to Gros Ventre Street
