JACKSON, Wyo. — Missed out on Tara Westover tickets? Center for the Arts has a solution.
Wednesday night’s Brainstorm Speaker Series event with Educated author Westover has sold out of free tickets, and its waitlist is full, but those interested in attending the event virtually can tune into a livestream, according to the Center.
Westover’s memoir, released to acclaim in 2018, chronicles her rural Idaho upbringing under a father who was opposed to public education. She didn’t step foot into a classroom until age 17, but went on to collect degrees from Brigham Young University and Trinity College, Cambridge.
The Brainstorm Speaker Series is a collaboration among The Center, the Teton County Library and the Jackson Hole News&Guide, bringing free, thought-provoking presentations by leaders in their field to the community.
