JACKSON, Wyo. — Snow hit the valley floor for the first time in a long time this weekend, and by the looks of it, winter has begun in Jackson Hole.




According to the forecast, additional snow showers will arrive Tuesday and Wednesday with 3 inch snow accumulations expected in the next 48 hours.
Early this morning WYDOT issued alerts for drivers to expect black ice on US189 between Daniel Junction and Jackson, US191 between Pinedale and Jackson, and US26 from the Idaho State Line to Jackson.
In preparation for winter weather in Yellowstone National Park the park closed all roads from Norris to Canyon, Canyon to Lake, Lake to East Entrance, and Lake to South Entrance.
The South Entrance to West Thumb north to Canyon and Canyon to Norris has since reopened. Fishing Bridge to East Entrance is still closed.
