MOOSE, Wyo. — As of Wednesday, May 1, the Teton Park Road is now open to motor vehicles, kicking off visitor season in Grand Teton National Park (GTNP).
Buckrail photographer Nick Sulzer cruised through GTNP this morning to snap some photos of the freshly fallen snow.

“It’s almost summer, barely spring, and winter is still trying,” GTNP’s Facebook post reads. “The Teton Park Road opened this morning for the 2024 summer season!”
The road was previously opened to walking, biking and skating.

Sulzer spotted some park residents migrating through the fresh dusting.

See GTNP’s Park Roads page for more information.

Park facilities are opening on a staggered schedule. As of May 1, the Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center in Moose, Wyoming, is open for the season from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. For a complete list of opening dates for facilities and services in the park, click here.
