JACKSON, Wyo. — In cowboy speak, “quickdraw” is the skill of drawing one’s gun hastily from its holster. In Jackson, the QuickDraw is all about the speed of the paintbrush.

On Saturday morning, artists took over Town Square in one of the final and most anticipated events of Fall Arts Festival. The live-art QuickDraw is a favorite among locals, visitors and collectors who can purchase the pieces at a live auction just following the event. Proceeds support the artists and the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce community efforts.

The QuickDraw includes 30 top artists who attempt to create their artworks from start to finish in just 90 minutes on the Square. The art is typically inspired by Wyoming’s landscapes, wildlife and western spirit.
