ALTA, Wyo. — After delaying its opening earlier this week, Grand Targhee Resort kicked off its 2021/22 winter season today, Nov. 24, 2021.

Two of the mountain’s five lifts were spinning today; Dreamcatcher and Shoshone.

Early conditions still exist and only a thin layer of snow covers the base of the mountain.

“Ski and ride with caution as early season conditions exist and there may be unmarked obstacles. It is highly recommended that you do not ski or ride terrain north of Chief Joe Bowl or any south facing slopes,” said Grand Targhee in a statement today.
