YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK — A stranded front loader in Yellowstone National Park was recently transported by soldiers from the Montana Army National Guard’s 1-189th General Support Aviation Battalion.

The truck was stranded and inaccessible on a portion of the North Entrance Road in the Gardner Canyon due to June floods in the park.

A CH-47 Chinook helicopter was used to transport the loader approximately a quarter mile out of the canyon to safety.
