JACKSON, Wyo. — Who busted out shorts and tank tops over the weekend?
A wave of spring weather hit western Wyoming over the weekend, driving many locals to pursue outdoor activities beyond the winter sports usually popular at this time of year. Buckrail photographer Nick Sulzer spotted boaters enjoying the sunshine at the Palisades Reservoir, south of the valley.

Elsewhere in Teton County, anglers cast their lines into the Snake River this weekend.
Not every waterway is quite ready for recreationists, however. Taggart Lake in Grand Teton National Park is beginning to thaw, but ice remains abundant. Snowy trail conditions persist on the trail, which did not deter scores of hikers from traversing the route on Saturday afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures at the Jackson Hole Airport weather station notched highs of 72°F on Friday afternoon and 70°F on Saturday. Buckrail Meteorologist Alan Smith had anticipated such heights.
This week, the forecast for Jackson looks slightly milder with highs in the upper 50s and plenty of sunshine.
