JACKSON, Wyo. — Last weekend, Jackson Hole Fire/EMS sent two fire engines and nine firefighters to the Dollar Lake Fire to support firefighting efforts in Sublette County.

In a Facebook post shared by Jackson Hole Fire/EMS, the agency said that resources from Jackson were sent to the area to support structure protection and suppression efforts. They assisted in protection of the Green River Lakes Lodge — a U.S. Forest Service cabin that sits on the shores of lower Green River Lake

“The Department responded to help fill the gap between the response from local units and federal resources,” the post reads, “showing up for our interagency partners when it matters most.”

On Saturday, Aug. 23, thanks to hot and windy conditions, the fire blew up to 8,660 acres. The same day, evacuations were ordered for anyone in a five-mile radius of Dollar Lake.

The department concluded the post by writing: “All hands, all lands.”
