Amid all the fresh snowfall, Buckrail photographer Nick Sulzer was out and about to capture some magical moments of pine trees and icy water at the Cache Creek area, located just east of the Town of Jackson.

A Winter Storm Warning impacting the Teton, Gros Ventre and Absaroka ranges, along with Yellowstone National Park, was in effect at the beginning of this week. These snowy conditions are following a false spring in the valley and are expected to last for one to two weeks.

While snowy conditions are the norm in Jackson Hole during winter, a University of Wyoming climate scientist predicts less snow in the area in next 20 years.

Those recreating in Cache Creek should still exercise caution in winter conditions, and always keep pets leashed at the trailhead and certain trails located adjacent to crucial wildlife habitat where signage is posted.
