JACKSON, Wyo. — The Jackson Hole Marathon, Half Marathon and Quarter Marathon went off on Saturday morning, with crisp temperatures and beautiful views.

Runners made their way from Jackson to Teton Village along the pathway systems, finishing at the Village Commons.

The marathon runners started on the Town Square at 7:30 a.m., half marathoners began at the Presbyterian church at 9 a.m. and the quarter marathoners joined the course at Stilson at 10 a.m. A total of 601 runners participated in the races.

The marathon had 233 runners participate. Alexandru Bacosca of Jackson came across the finish line first overall, with a time of 2:39:22. Becca Pizzi of Belmont, Massachusetts, took first for the women, and 10th overall with a time of 3:14:51.

The half marathon had 267 runners, with Pete Kruse of Denver, Colorado, taking first place with a time of 1:24:14. Ashlyn Shrimplin from Fredericktown, Ohio, won it for the women, with a time of 1:39:37, she finished seventh overall.

For the quarter marathon, 101 runners took off from Stilson. Jackson’s Esteban Barrios took first place overall with a time of 44:55, and Arianna Mermigas from Rigby, Idaho, took fourth overall and first for the women, with a time of 54:19.
