JACKSON, Wyo. — Jacksonites had their monthly opportunity to howl at a full moon last night when the February “Snow Moon” put on a show as it rose over the valley after the clouds abated.

Buckrail photographer Nick Sulzer snapped some photos of the moon glowing through a diaphanous haze.

Typically, the full moon in February marks one of the colder, snowier times of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. This year has, despite the prediction of 6 more weeks of winter, been significantly warmer and will continue to be dry in the short-term forecast.
