Update: The construction was originally scheduled to begin on Aug. 12, but Buckrail has since learned that the Town of Jackson Engineering postponed work until Aug. 19. This article also includes an update with the projected project duration.

JACKSON, Wyo. — The section of S Millward St. between W Pearl Ave. and W Hansen Ave. will close on Monday, Aug. 19 for construction.

The two-block stretch will be closed to vehicle traffic for the installation of a 12″ water main and other water services, along with a concrete curb and gutter. Restoration work will also be done on the sidewalk and asphalt.

The construction is expected to last through October, according to Town Engineer Brian Lenz, with different segments of the area closed at different times. While the road will be closed to thru traffic, people will be able to access residents and stores on the two-block stretch while the work is ongoing.

Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians are asked to heed all detour and parking signage in the area during the construction.

“The Town of Jackson thanks you very much for your understanding and apologizes in advance for any inconvenience,” the town said in a statement.
