JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation (Parks & Rec) announced that a section of the Russ Garaman pathway will close this week for routine maintenance.
The portion of the pathway between Russ Garaman Park and US89 will temporarily close between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 16, and Wednesday, Sept. 17. The closure allows pedestrians and bikers to access the pathway during morning and afternoon hours, per Parks & Rec. Dates and times are subject to change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
According to Parks & Rec, the closure will allow staff to trim trees and shrubs to improve pathway access, sight lines, general safety and to help prepare for winter plowing operations.
During the closure, trucks and equipment will be entering and exiting the area. To ensure safety for staff and the public, pathway users are asked to adhere to closure and detour signage.
Parks and Rec wrote via press release that it appreciates the community’s patience during the closure.
