ALTA, Wyo. — Few things say “holiday cheer” like fresh powder, bright lights, live music, and good food.

Grand Targhee has all that and more to ring in the new year this season. New Years Eve at Targhee will be jam-packed with food and festivities.

After a day of world-class skiing, start the evening with a classic mountain traditions: the torchlight parade. Join in on the action, or just watch from the base with a drink in your hand. The children’s parade starts at 5 p.m.; adults will follow shortly after. As is tradition, a fireworks show will close out the festivities at around 5:40 p.m. Learn more and register to participate online.

Afterward, warm up your body and spirit with dinner and a party at The Branding Iron. Executive Chef Eric Gruber will be serving a three-course, prix fixe extravaganza. Dinner is served from 4–9 p.m and costs $75 a person. Reservations are required and space is limited, so plan ahead. Call 307-353-2300 Ext. 1368 to make your reservation.

Finally, close the night out at the Trap Bar with live music from The Cadillacs. There will be a shuttle to and from Teton Valley before and after the music, so leave the driving to Targhee. The band will play from 10 p.m.–1 a.m.

Happy New Year from Grand Targhee.
