Rep. Chuck Gray to challenge Liz Cheney in 2022

WYOMING — This morning, Wyoming State Rep. Chuck Gray announced in a Twitter post that he will challenge incumbent Liz Cheney in the 2022 primary election.

In the video announcement Thursday morning, a narrator claimed that conservative values are at risk under the Biden Administration and a Cheney Congressional office.

“We are teetering on the precipice of a political crisis. And our way of life is under attack. We can count on President Trump to stand up for Wyoming but not everyone has stood by him.”

The video continued that Cheney deceived the Republican Party and Wyoming conservatives with her vote to impeach Trump.

“Liz Cheney’s impeachment vote was a betrayal, another example of how Liz has lost her way, acting like she is from Washington D.C., not Wyoming.”

Gray is the second politician to announce his political run against Rep. Cheney. In January, Sen. Anthony Bouchard announced that similar to Gray, he will run on an anti-Cheney platform.

Additionally, the narrator urged that Wyoming needs a new leader, someone who will properly represent the state.

“We need someone who votes against Pelosi, A.O.C., and the left. Not someone who votes with them. Chuck Gray isn’t Washington, he’s Wyoming.”

Chuck’s race will focus on conservative values and will aim to continue the Trump Administration’s agenda.

“State Representative Chuck Gray is a proven conservative legislator and a pro-Trump Republican. Chuck fights for working families and the energy industry, defends our Christan values, stands up for the unborn, and protects our 2nd Amendment rights.”

The video closed by stating how Gray will reverse the Biden Administration’s efforts and will continue the work of conservative lawmakers.

“In Congress, Chuck Gray won’t give up on Trump’s America First agenda, or give an inch to the out-of-control socialists. He won’t let Biden open up our border to illegals while shutting down our small businesses and gun shops. Chuck’s proven he will always stand up for us and our values because Chuck Gray is a true conservative for Wyoming.”
