JACKSON, Wyo. — Heads up, parking garage users.

Beginning at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19, paid parking will go into effect at the Town of Jackson’s (TOJ) parking garage on the corner of Millward Street and Simpson Avenue. Between midnight and 4 a.m., the parking garage will cost $5 per hour for general users, with a maximum daily rate of $20.

TOJ asks users currently parked in the garage to exit before 10 a.m. on Nov. 19, when the gates will be lowered and the new system will take effect. Drivers can re-enter after 10 a.m. to pull a fresh ticket. The payment system and arm bars will continue to be tested over the next couple of weeks.

TOJ has implemented a discount program for up to 100 local residents who utilize the garage for overnight parking during winter months, when overnight street parking is prohibited. Those users will pay $4 total per night. There is still space available in the program, and requisite inspection appointments are available on Thursday, Nov. 20, and Monday, Nov. 24. Apply online up to 24 hours before the chosen inspection time.

The application for local residents looking to park their vehicle at a discount is now open and accessible here
