WYOMING — Another candidate looking to fill Wyoming’s sole seat in the U.S. House of Representatives has thrown a hat into the ring.
Reid Rasner, a finance professional known for his endeavors to acquire TikTok, announced his campaign for Congress on Wednesday.
“I am a proud and unapologetic America First conservative who will work with President Trump to deport criminal illegals, get fentanyl out of our communities, stop Democrat extremists and protect what makes Wyoming great,” Rasner said in a statement.
Rasner will vie for the seat left open by Rep. Harriet Hageman as she runs for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Cynthia Lummis. Also running for Hageman’s seat is current Wyoming Secretary of State Chuck Gray.
On his website, Rasner is identified as a fourth-generation Wyomingite born and raised in Casper. When he ran for the U.S. Senate in 2024 (an election won by incumbent Sen. John Barrasso), he told Buckrail he would “fight to protect our freedoms, preserve our conservative values and ensure Wyoming remains a low-tax, pro-business state” if elected. He also stressed his support for the Second Amendment, which he said he is “passionate about.”
