JACKSON, Wyo. — Recycling bins at the Teton County Fairgrounds are moving to make way for the County Fair.

In a Thursday announcement, Teton County Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling (ISWR) said that the recycling bins normally accessed at the Fairgrounds have been temporarily relocated to the parking lot of the Jackson Hole High School (JHHS). The bins were scheduled to be moved today and will remain at JHHS through Sunday, July 26. The Teton County Fair will take place from July 18 to 26.

“Recycling bins at the Teton County Fairgrounds will be temporarily unavailable those dates to make room for rides, races, rodeo, and other fair festivities and crowds,” ISWR noted. “Bins will return there on Monday, July 27.”

The temporary bins can be found in the JHHS student parking lot on the west side of the school. This parking lot is accessed by turning south on Middle School Road from High School Road (see image below).

Meanwhile, other community recycling sites will remain open, including at the Teton County/Jackson Recreation Center, the Teton County Recycling Center on S. Adams Canyon Road, The Aspens, Teton Village, Hoback Junction and Spring Gulch Road. ISWR stated that the recycling site in the Albertsons parking lot is still unavailable due to parking lot construction. Bins are expected to be back in service at that location by the end of July. ISWR reminds the public that the community recycling bins are for residential and visitor use only — businesses are asked to use the bins available at the Recycling Center.
