JACKSON, Wyo. — The Teton County Board of County Commissioners awarded  Entre prises, Inc. for the bid to complete the Recreation Centers’ new climbing gym.

The climbing gym is part of the Rec Centers renovation and expansion project totaling $22 million of SPET funding. According to the motion passed by the commissioners, the project is not to exceed $11, 810.

Teton County/ Jackson Parks and Recreation Director Steve Ashworth told the board during Tuesday’s meeting that representatives from the Teton Climbing Coalition were included in the RFP, comment, and interview process with the consultant, prior to Parks and Recreation recommending Entre prises, Inc. for the project. “I think we did a much better time reaching out to many of the stakeholders in the RFP process,” said Ashworth.

Moving forward, the public will have more opportunities to comment in terms of the project. “Once we get them under contract we are meeting to start the process to identify the public engagement process moving forward,” said Ashworth.

The Board also approved two other contracts related to the expansion at the Recreation Center during the meeting on May 4.

The Board approved Wember, Inc. to complete the Owner’s Representative Services for the renovation and expansion project at the Rec Center. The services are not to exceed  $382,139.
