WILSON, Wyo. — An Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt unfolding in Rendezvous Park has been extended to April 26.

The scavenger hunt is free, self-guided, and open to all during daylight hours at R Park.

Four local artists, including Evan Grainger, Ellen Incelli, Elyse Mock and Shawn Robert created egg-themed art for the family-friendly activity hosted by the Jackson Hole Land Trust.

For the scavenger hunt, each piece will be hidden around R Park and marked with a secret letter. Candy prizes await kids and those young at heart who find all four to reveal a four-letter code that unlocks a golden chest on the steps of  the R Park office. Scavenger hunt maps will also be available at the R Park  office.

“I couldn’t resist showcasing Wyoming’s state bird, the western meadowlark, in my egg hunt painting,” said watercolorist Ellen Incelli. “Its bright colors and musical, warbling call are welcoming signs that tell us spring has arrived. And since this is an egg hunt, I, of course,  wanted to paint their beautiful eggs sheltered in their masterfully engineered domed nest.”

She's a lover of alliteration, easy-to-follow recipes and board games when everyone knows the rules. Her favorite aspect about living in the Tetons is the collective admiration that Wyomingites share for the land and the life that it sustains.
