JACKSON, Wyo. — At 8:45 a.m. this morning, Jackson Public Works responded to an emergency water leak on a main water line running from Deloney to Gill on north Cache.

The main water line was shut down this morning to identify and expose the leak.

Water Department Manager, John Ryan, told Buckrail that some business basements were flooded and without water service for most of the day. The south side of the traveling lane on north Cache was closed so the water crew could dig down to the main water line.

As of 2:45 p.m., the water crew is repairing the line. The Public Works department estimates that the water should be turned back on in about an hour.

Traffic will be re-routed for the next several days to allow for the pouring of concrete to repair the roadway.

Jackson Public Works asks “for everyone’s patience until this gets resolved.”
