Officers performed a traffic stop on an individual for not using the proper lane for turning off of Broadway Ave. onto Pearl St. When officers contacted the individual they could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage. An investigation was done and the individual was arrested for DUI.

Phone was forgotten on the counter in the restroom of a public restaurant. Phone was stolen prior to the owner going back for it. The find my iPhone app was used to show the phone in a different location.

Jackson Police Department was notified by outside agency that a victim in the State of Kentucky was in the process of sending a check to a business in Jackson. The individual in Kentucky was responding to a lottery scam VIA Facebook Messenger. The recipient of the check was contacted and interviewed. The check was stopped and no monies were lost.

While performing a traffic stop the driver of the vehicle that was being stopped did not put the vehicle in park. The vehicle backed into a patrol vehicle.

An intoxicated man stole an unlocked bicycle from in front of a business. The man was contacted and arrested for public intoxication and theft.

2 intoxicated persons were found passed out in the driveway of a local residence. One was arrested for public intoxication, the other was admitted to the hospital and cited for public intoxication.

Officers responded to a noise complaint and smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from inside the residence. A small amount of marijuana was confiscated and a resident was cited for possession.
