JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Here are some recent calls for service in Teton County/Jackson from the dispatch log. Names may be withheld at the request of law enforcement. Comments: Vehicle stopped for speeding. Officer detected odor of alcohol and noted driver was overly nervous and acting erratically. Driver submitted to field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested for DWUI.

•MEDICAL – AMBULANCE ASSIST
Comments: Officers responded to the hospital on a call for service to the hospital to assist hospital staff in identifying a male dropped off at the emergency room. The male had experienced cardiac arrest likely from a drug overdose. The male was revived and later transported to University Medical Center in Salt Lake City.

Comments: Subject failed to declare a firearm in his checked bag and did not have it packaged per TSA and airline regulations. TSA discovered the firearm and turned it to over to Police for safekeeping. No charges were filed.

Comments: Police received a REDDI report of a small, brown-haired female driving a silver Grand Cherokee who appeared intoxicated, had open containers in her vehicle, and had almost run several people off the road and ran a red light. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and contact the female at her residence. After a thorough on scene investigation, the female was arrested for DUI.

Comments: Bicycle owner left bicycle outside a gym while he used the facilities. When he returned a few hours later, the bicycle was gone. The bicycle was not locked up, no suspects were known, no evidence was found. Case inactive.

Comments: A local family reported their two young daughters were missing. An acquaintance of the family located the two daughters and brought them to the police department where they were reunited with their mother.

Comments: A local bar reported an underage female was using a false ID. The female admitted to Officers that the ID was fake. Officers cited and released the female.

Comments: Male observed staggering down the boardwalk, then stopped and started urinating in bushes near a local business. Male was contacted and unable to secure safe passage home. Male was arrested for public intoxication and cited for public urination.

Comments: Officers arrested a subject for public intoxication. A search incident to arrest lead to the discovery of LSD, which is a drug.

Comments: Officers heard what sounded like an altercation in back alley. When Officers contact one involved individual, he fled on foot. Officers apprehended the suspect and arrested him for public intoxication and interference.

Comments: A man was located slumped over on the boardwalk. Officers contacted the man, who had been sitting there for some time, and noted the man had vomited at his feet. The man was found to be intoxicated to a degree he was unable to care for his own needs and was arrested for public intoxication.

Comments: Officers dispatched to vehicle smoking, with front end damage. Officers arrived on scene and performed SFST’s on driver and arrested them for DWUI. Driver’s front bumper located across town after vehicle collided with two additional vehicles causing extensive damage.

Comments: A bus struck a parked unoccupied vehicle and left the scene. The bus and driver were located.

Comments: A vehicle sideswiped a parked/occupied car in a local business parking lot and the driver failed to stop and leave their contact information prior to leaving the scene. The suspect vehicle was located and towed for evidence collection. The investigation is still ongoing.

Comments: Officers responded to report of shots fired. Residence located. Investigation revealed apparent accidental discharge. Bullet struck adjacent tree before striking nearby residence. Bullet found stuck in exterior of building and did not penetrate the living space; no one was home at the time of the incident, and there were no injuries. Citation issued for discharge of firearm in town limits.

Comments: An underage male from out of town attempted to gain entry into a local bar using his actual military ID and was turned away. The same subject then attempted to gain entry into the same bar using an older male’s military ID and was turned away again. Police contacted the male and he was subsequently cited for being a Minor under the influence of alcohol and had a 0.09% BAC on a PBT.

Comments: Officers were flagged down on a report of a fight. Investigation found a male assaulted a female and was heavily intoxicated in a public place. The male was arrested for public intoxication but during the arrest he resisted submitting custody. The male was booked into the Teton County Jail. Follow up investigation found the male had assaulted his girlfriend. The male was charged with public intoxication, resisting arrest and unlawful touching.

Comments: Disturbance between a man and the grandparents of the man’s children. Man was at the grandparents’ apartment to see his children. Grandparents do not want the man to be at their apartment and do not want him to have access to his children.
