JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Here are some recent calls for service in Teton County/Jackson from the dispatch log. Names may be withheld at the request of law enforcement. All persons cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filing from the Teton County Attorney’s Office.

Comments: Man was contacted at local bar by police after he refused to leave the bar at the instruction of the bar manager. The man resisted police and was arrested for interference, criminal trespass, and public intoxication. While removing the arrestee from the bar, his brother interfered with officers and was also arrested for interference, and public intoxication.

Comments: Initiated a traffic stop for expired registration. Driver did not possess a driver’s license. Driver was cited for driving a vehicle with expired registration and no driver’s license.

Comments: Officers responded to a report of a physical domestic disturbance. Officers arrived to find significant property damage and injuries on both parties. Officers were able to determine who was the primary aggressor and arrested the subject for domestic battery.

Comments: A red truck that was pulling a U-Haul trailer was parking in a local parking lot. The vehicle pulled out of its parking spot and hit the vehicle next to it with its trailer. No leads at this time.

•CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE – MARIJUANA, POSSESSION
Comments: A vehicle was stopped for running a red flashing stoplight. During the course of the traffic stop, Officers deployed a K-9. The K-9 alerted and indicated on the vehicle and was deployed on the interior where the K-9 again alerted and indicated on the center console. An electronic cigarette-type device containing a small amount of THC extract was located in the center console.

Comments: Officers responded to the report of a collision hit and run. An investigation was completed and the suspect was found and received a citation.

Comments: A multi-colored camper van driven by unknown persons pumped $55.61 worth of gas from a local gas station and drove off without paying.

•OBSTRUCT JUSTICE – CONDITIONAL RELEASE VIOLATION
Comments: A woman was reported to be laying on the sidewalk in front of the business and not responding. Officers arrived on scene to find the woman standing near the business knocking on the window. The woman was found to be highly intoxicated and unable to care for her own needs. The woman was arrested for public intoxication, the woman was also charged with possession of marijuana as she had a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia in her property.

Comments: A man claimed to have found a bag of suspected controlled substances on the bike path and wished to turn it in for destruction. Officers responded and retrieved two bags of unknown white powder.

Comments: Officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle. Officer learned through dispatch that the driver had a valid warrant. Officer arrested driver.

Comments: A local resident reported an individual attacking his vehicle. Officers arrived on scene and found a person matching the suspect’s description. The suspect observed officers approaching and fled on foot. Officers pursued, and caught the suspect. It was later discovered the suspect was a minor and under the influence of alcohol. The suspect was cited for several offenses and released to parents.

Comments: Officers responded to the parking garage on a call for service a male passed out in a car. Officers located the car and two individuals inside the car. There was evidence of drug activity inside the vehicle. Once it was determined a medical emergency did not exist, Officers found out the male occupant had a warrant for his arrest. The male was arrested and subsequent to the arrest methamphetamine was found on his person. The male was booked into the jail.

Comments: Officer observed a vehicle make an illegal left turn at an intersection. Officers stopped the vehicle and it was discovered the driver had been drinking. An investigation was completed and the driver was arrested for DUI.

Comments: Officer observed driving violation and initiated a traffic stop. Officer deployed K-9 partner, which gave a positive alert and indication. Officer searched the vehicle and located illegal narcotics. Driver and passenger were taken into custody.
