JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Here are some recent calls for service in Teton County/Jackson from the dispatch log. Names may be withheld at the request of law enforcement. All persons cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filing from the Teton County Attorney’s Office.

Comments: An anonymous reporting party stated a subject at the location was smoking marijuana. Subject was contacted and found to be in possession of marijuana. Subject was cited and released.

•PUBLIC INTOX – PUBLIC INTOXICATION
Comments: Witnesses called regarding an apparently very intoxicated male, whom they saw attempting to get into a parked car. The witnesses intervened until officers arrived. The man was uncooperative and showed objective signs of impairment, and was subsequently arrested for public intoxication. The man was taken to the hospital for medical clearance after he provided a breath sample at the jail, which showed he had a BAC of .361%.

Comments: At approximately 0200 hrs. on 08/07/2019 an individual caught someone going through his saddle bags on his motorcycle in the parking lot of a local hotel. He confronted the individuals and they ran off. The following morning he noticed damage to the motorcycle. No leads at this time.

Comments: A juvenile was reported as a runaway in front of a local gas station. The juvenile had become upset with his parents and ran from the vehicle. The juvenile was later located by law enforcement and reunited with his parents.

Comments: Officers were dispatched on a stalking call. Upon investigation, it was determined no crime had occurred. Both parties were advised to cease communication with each other to avoid further accusations of stalking.

Comments: Officers observed a man stumbling down the road by the Town Square who began urinating on the sidewalk. The man was arrested for public intoxication and urinating in public.

Comments: Officers observed a male who was known to have active warrants. As Officers attempted to arrest the subject, the subject resisted. The subject was booked into jail on 3 warrants and cited for interference.

Comments: Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding. After a field investigation, the driver was found to be impaired by alcohol and was arrested for DUI.

Comments: An employee left cash in their backpack in an unsecured employee area and it was later stolen. The victim did not want to have the theft investigated, but the store manager wanted the theft documented since there appeared to be a pattern of thefts occurring at the location. Case inactive.

Comments: A passport was found by a taxi driver sometime in the last 3 days. No local contacts for the owner. Message sent via social media.

Comments: A resident who was recently notified that her lease will not be renewed started causing problems with the property owner and other tenants. The resident was notified to not contact the property owner again or a stalking case would be started. Case closed at this time.

Comments: Police contacted a man who appeared intoxicated and was stumbling and falling over in the roadway. Officers arrested the man for being an intoxicated pedestrian. The man has also been charged with felony interference for kicking one of the Officers several times.

Comments: Contacted by local bar regarding false ID. Following investigation, 20-year-old male issued citation for possession of false ID.

Comments: An intoxicated female was stopped for a public intoxication investigation and was found to have an active warrant for failing to appear in court for a previous public intoxication citation. The female was arrested for the warrant.

Comments: Officers contacted vehicles with illegal campers in a public place. During the contact a warrant was confirmed for one of the individuals contacted. Officers placed the individual under arrest and transported them to the Jail.

Comments: Officers dispatched to a disturbance involving a male subject throwing dog feces at another. Officers settled down the involved parties and resolved the disturbance.

Comments: Officers dispatched to a Medical assist involving a subject in cardiac arrest. Officers arrived on scene and performed CPR on the patient until the medical staff arrived on scene. Unattended death investigated on scene and turned over to the coroner.

Comments: Male called 911 to report his bicycle had been stolen. The male observed the suspect riding away on his bicycle. Officers from the JPD immediately responded to the area and located the male suspect on the bicycle. The male suspect was booked into jail on charges of theft. The bicycle was returned to its owner.

Comments: An officer observed a vehicle make a few lane use violations prior to initiating a traffic stop for the offenses. The driver displayed objective signs of intoxication and was asked to do sobriety tests. The driver failed the tests and was arrested for DUI.

Comments: Vehicle owner reported her truck had been damaged by an unknown vehicle while it was parked between July 4, 2019 and July 7, 2019. She reported it on August 12, 2019 at the request of her insurance carrier.

Comments: Juvenile ran away from home after an argument. Juvenile was located and brought to Van Vleck for a voluntary placement. Information only.

•CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE – MARIJUANA, POSSESSION
•CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE – COCAINE, POSSESSION
Comments: Female driver rear ended a pickup truck and then attempted to flee the scene of that collision and collided with a minivan shortly after. The driver showed signs of heavy intoxication and failed field sobriety tests including a PBT result of .22% BAC. The driver was arrested for DUI, Hit and Run, and possession of marijuana and cocaine.

Comments: Subject pulled over for driving with no headlights. Driver, who was under 21 years of age, admitted to drinking and had a measurable amount of alcohol in their system. Subject cited for minor under the influence.

Comments: Contacted a taxi driver regarding a blue light on top of his vehicle. Upon a DL check, learned the driver had an extraditable warrant.
