JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Here are some recent calls for service in Teton County/Jackson from the dispatch log. Names may be withheld at the request of law enforcement. All persons cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filing from the Teton County Attorney’s Office.

•OBSTRUCT JUSTICE – CONDITIONAL RELEASE VIOLATION
Comments: While on patrol Officers observed a male walking down the side of the road screaming. When officers contacted the individual it was discovered the individual had been drinking and was on release orders. The individual was released and a report was created.

Comments: A woman was bitten on the hand by a neighbors’ dog when trying to break up a dog fight between her dog and the neighbor’s dog.

Comments: Officers responded to a possible alcohol impaired male subject who had drove away from the bar. A traffic stop was initiated on the suspect vehicle and the driver was found to be intoxicated. The driver was arrested for DWUI.

Comments: Individual displayed troubled behavior in front of police outside his residence. The individual was placed into custody without incident and transferred to the hospital for evaluation.

Comments: A woman called for medics due to her partner being unconscious and possibly deceased. Medics and officers arrived and were unable to revive the male. Death possibly due to overdose.

Comments: A male person entered a local clothing store during business hours and appeared to be shopping. The person took a belt from a rack, continued to shop, and ran out the front doors with the belt. It is unknown who the person was or where they went.

•TRAFFIC ACCIDENT – TRAFFIC ACCIDENT, VEHICLE DAMAGE
Comments: Witnesses called in a collision where the driver of a Jeep collided with a parked car and then drove off. The suspect was located and officers learned there was no malicious intent on the driver’s behalf. Citation for unsafe backing was issued.

Comments: Officers were dispatched on a destruction of property call. A parked vehicle had the air released from a tire. Officers were able to identify a suspect and the investigation is ongoing. Victim declined to assist in case, does not want suspect charged.

Comments: Subject called 911 and informed dispatchers that he was intoxicated on multiple controlled substances. Upon Law Enforcement contact, subject was found to be in possession of controlled substance and under the influence of controlled substances. Subject arrested.

Comments: Officers were dispatched on an intoxicated, unconscious subject. When Officers arrived they found the subject was in control of a motor vehicle and was ultimately arrested for DUI. Blood results pending.

Comments: Officers located a subject with a warrant and took the subject into custody without incident.

Comments: Subject going through a divorce called to report his wife had entered into his home while he was away and took numerous items. Subject was notified via email forwarded by his attorney regarding his wife had entered the home. No damage to the home and no sign of forced entry.

•CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE – NARCOTIC EQUIPMENT, POSSESSION
•SECURITY CHECK – PERSONAL SECURITY/WELFARE CHECK
Comments: Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex for a welfare check on a male subject who was suspected of overdosing on heroin based on messages sent to a friend. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the subject in question. Officers smelled the odor of marijuana and applied for search warrant. Warrant was granted, and executed. Numerous items were seized for evidence.

Comments: Subject leaves home to go skiing on the last day out at Teton Village (4/7/2019). Between the time he leaves home and the time he comes back, unknown person enters his unlocked home and rummages through his belongings. Bills are thrown away, DVDs are moved, basket of belongings thrown into the snow outside, but nothing stolen.

Comments: Officers dispatched to local restaurant for a male subject who has been stalking company. Subject reported several times in the past for same behavior. Subject located and advised to stay away from company employees.

Comments: A passerby overheard a woman yelling for police in a car in a grocery store parking lot. Police responded and determined the woman had been in an argument with her boyfriend.

Comments: Officers responded to the report of a collision involving a deer. Upon arrival officers completed a collision investigation.
