LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming will be featured on six nationally televised games during the upcoming college football season.
Two of Wyoming’s six national television games will be featured in prime time from Wyoming’s War Memorial Stadium.
The Cowboys will kick off the season at home on Aug. 31 against SEC member Missouri. That game will kick off at 5:30pm and will be televised on CBS Sports Network.
The Tigers will be making their first-ever appearance in Wyoming’s War Memorial Stadium. It is only the second time in history that an SEC team has played in Wyoming. The Cowboys hosted Ole Miss in 2004.
The other Wyoming home game to be televised in prime time nationally will be a Friday night meeting with Colorado State on Nov. 22.
In other Cowboy football news, Sean Chambers has been named Wyoming’s starting quarterback at the conclusion of spring practice.
Chambers competed during spring practice with Tyler Vander Waal, who started nine games last season as a redshirt freshman.
Vander Waal was benched midway through the Cowboys’ eighth game in favor of Chambers, who ran for more than 100 yards in each of his first three games before sustaining a broken fibula against Air Force on Nov. 17.
Chambers worked the most with the first-team offense during the spring practice, which ended last Saturday.
Fall camp practice will begin Aug. 2. The Cowboys open the season Aug. 31 at home versus Missouri.Pokes
