Jackson, Wyo. – Join Ann Thorkelson and her daughter this Saturday Aug 3rd at 9:00am on the Town Square as they host a Pink Lemonade Stand Challenge. Pick up a refreshing beverage and all donations will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in honor of loved ones affected by breast cancer.
The Pink Lemonade Stand Challenge is a grass routes effort started by Brynne Rhodes whom in 2016, when Brynne was just 7 years old, her mother Kim was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. Brynne asked her mom if she could make a lemonade stand and together they decided to #TurnItPink and donate the proceeds to breast cancer research. After investigating charities, the pair decided to donate to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), the highest rated breast cancer charity in the country, according to Charity Navigator.
Brynne has challenged kids across the country to #BeTheEnd of breast cancer and do the same with the Pink Lemonade Stand Challenge. Brynne’s goal for 2019 is to inspire PINK lemonade stands in 50 states and reach $100,000! Come out and support your local Pink Lemonade Stand this Saturday on the town square.
