JACKSON, Wyo. – The southernmost portions of Snow King ballfield and the playground area in Phil Baux Park will be closed Saturday Oct. 2, until the late morning/early afternoon due to helicopter activity, announced Teton County/Jackson Parks & Recreation.

Helicopter activity will again be underway at Snow King Mountain, part of the mountain’s ongoing construction projects. A new gondola is currently being installed.

Snow King will be coordinating closures and signage and adjusting those as the work moves uphill away from the base of the mountain. In addition, the Snow King restroom will be closed for the rest of the season due to sewer and water impacts.

A helicopter has been buzzing around Snow King at different points of the summer working on various projects. At the end of August, a helicopter was used to remove the Summit lift towers.
