JACKSON, Wyo. — The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) has announced a pavement patching project on WY22 east of Pratt Lane this weekend, which could cause nighttime delays for drivers.

Beginning at 11 p.m. on Friday, June 6, milling operations will be underway to repair the persistent string of potholes. Crews from WYDOT and Evans Construction will work through the night until 6 a.m. A lane closure will be necessary, leading to alternating one-way traffic overnight and thus delays of up to 10 minutes.

Work is scheduled to resume on Sunday, June 8, at 7 p.m., when crews will pave the milled sections. Work is again scheduled to run until 6 a.m. WYDOT notes that the contractor intends to keep two-way traffic open on Sunday from 7 to 10 p.m., but after that a lane closure will necessitate alternating lane traffic with those 10-minute delays. The lanes will be temporarily marked around the repair site until next week, when a larger striping project is scheduled.

That striping project, to be completed by S&L Industrial, will begin on the evening of Monday, June 9, and could potentially last through the end of the month. Crews will be working nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. to paint stripes on sections of US89, WY22, WY390 and Broadway Ave.

According to WYDOT, crews will be striping Broadway from High School Road through town and Town Square to the Grand Teton National Park boundary near the Jackson National Fish Hatchery, along with other various side roads. Then, striping is scheduled for sections of WY22 between Jackson and the Idaho state line, and parts of WY390.

“Travelers will see minimal delays and should be aware of slow moving striping trucks and wet traffic lines,” WYDOT’s announcement states.
