JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation says the ice rink at the fairgrounds on Snow King Avenue is open for public use as of Monday December 3. The recreational broomball league will start on Monday, December 10.

With cold temps forecast for the rest of the week, Parks and Rec also anticipates the rink at Owen Bircher Park will be open by this weekend. Powderhorn and Alta ice rinks are still a work in progress. Keep an eye on the rink schedule for openings.

As far as winter trail grooming, everything in the valley has been packed with the snowmobile and roller, and is currently in variable condition. Staff will begin normal grooming schedule on Tuesday, December 4.

Cache Creek to Noker Draw was scheduled to start today, however, due to equipment breakdown it will not be groomed. Cache Creek, Game Creek, and Emily’s Pond will be groomed with the PistenBully per the normal schedule. All other valley locations will be assessed daily and will either be groomed or rolled depending on snow depths and condition.
