JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Grand Teton National Park will again host early-morning ranger-led sage grouse strut programs as a way for the public to observe sage grouse as they perform their annual courtship dance. This unique springtime ritual is a rare chance to see the birds in action.
The programs are free, but reservations are required by contacting the park at 307-739-3399. Three weekend guided tours are scheduled for April 20-21, April 27-28, and May 4-5. They will begin and depart from the Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center at 5:30 am. Participants are encouraged to carpool to the viewing site.
The program is supported by Grand Teton Association, a park partner that assists with public understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of the park and surrounding public lands through interpretive, educational and research programs.
